- Continue regular mowing and edging (raise cutting height of mower to save on watering lawn)
- Remove spent blossoms from plants and shrubs
- Continue weed control in planting beds and turf area
- Fertilize turf with organic, slow-release blend
- Monitor watering and look for dry, stressed areas
- Relax and enjoy
Late Summer
- Keep on mowing and edging (lower cutting height of mower to encourage growth)
- Turf care: aerate, de-thatch, top-dress, and over-seed
- Apply organic fertilizer to turf and planting beds
- Weed control in planting beds and turf area
- Prune and trim shoots on plants, shrubs, and trees
- Micro-prune perennials
